Why I want to be a Bitocracy delegate: Honestly it keeps getting suggested to me! But I have lots of ideas for improving Sovryn and hopefully making positive steps towards building the Sovryn we were all hoping for.

Platform and values: I have some ideas for the best way forward for Sovryn. First is to immediately reduce overhead as much as possible. To achieve that we’re going to require accurate budget requests for review and a clear understanding of current operational costs and treasury capital (which also needs to come back under bitocracy control). Bitocracy is essentially a board of directors, and unfortunately we’ve probably been negligent in our duties. We can fix this though, we just need to rally together and put forth the effort. I have experience serving on finance committee of a board of directors reviewing monthly cash flow documents and yearly budget proposals from multiple departments. I also served as board president for a number of years overseeing the search committee and hiring multiple executive directors, renewing their contracts, conducting performance reviews, as well as setting the strategic goals for the organization. I don’t expect that level of oversight from bitocracy, but it’s absolutely something we all should start to consider working towards - even if just a little.

I believe we should be focusing on building new products and making much needed improvements to old products to drive new services and revenue. We have a solid community and user base on Rootstock, I don’t think that should be blindly abandoned. The primary focus of everyone, right now, should be increasing revenue. Diverting resources to moving sovryn yet again to another island of fragmented liquidity and users hurts this goal. If sovryn can increase revenue well beyond operational expenses then that would be the time to consider using resources to expand elsewhere. Until then focus should be solely on driving revenue through building useful services to Rootstock users and marketing them.

Thank you everyone I sincerely hope we can keep making positive steps towards the Sovryn we all want!

Thank you Brianna. That worked. And done. Better sooner than later. Everyone who is not able to vote should do the same asap. Thank you all!

For voting, you may also want to check your stakes (the more and longer you stake, the more VP = voting power you have).

Just know that extending/adding and delegating VP has to be done days in advance (> 24h) as otherwise it doesn’t account your new VP correctly.
